The Refillery

Gaia’s Refillery is dedicated to providing our customers with the most sustainable way to shop. As a refill store, we’re committed to reducing waste by offering customers the ability to refill from bulk products, minimizing the amount of single-use plastics and packaging that end up in landfills and the environment.

HOW THE REFILLERY WORKS

  1. Choose your container

    Bring your own containers or purchase one of ours. Containers can be anything glass, metal, plastic, ceramic — think sauce jars, spice jars, oatmeal canisters, coffee tins, soap dispensers. If you’re using your own, bring the clean, empty container for the counter to us to weigh before you fill. This is called the tare weight. This step is how we calculate only the cost of the product so you are charged correctly.

  2. LABEL YOUR CONTAINER

    Label your container using our wax pencil or chalk with the name and scent of the product you are refilling from the bulk bar or snap a photo of the product on your phone to show us.

  3. FILL IT UP

    Fill your prepped container with as little or as much of the product as you’d like. Sampling is welcome — test out a new product by filling up just enough for a couple of uses.

  4. CHECK OUT

    Bring your filled containers to the checkout counter. We’ll weigh it, subtract the weight of the empty container and charge you for the product by the ounce. Now celebrate the plastic you’ve kept out of landfills! Take your goods home, use them up and come back again when you’re running low.

Household Cleaning

  • Dilute 1:7 parts water

    Ingredient List: Water, MamaSuds handcrafted Castile Soap (potassium olivate), aloe vera gel juice with non-GMO citric acid*, pure essential oils of clove bud, organic cinnamon leaf, lemon, eucalyptus radiata, and rosemary

  • For treatment of minor cuts and abrasions, use as a gargle or rinse oral debriding agent or first aid antiseptic.
    Please note Hydrogen Peroxide needs to stay in a dark container to remain effective

  • 99% Isopropyl alcohol

    Dilute with distilled water

  • Organic vinegar 5%
